Spicy Harissa Hummus
|2 (15 oz) cans chickpeas, drained and rinsed|
|2 tbs tahini|
|2 plus tbs extra virgin olive oil|
|1 tbs harissa spice blend (available in international markets or on line|
|4-6 cloves garlic, chopped|
|kosher salt and black pepper to taste|
|extra olive oil, parsley and cumin for garnish, optional|
- Drain and rinse the chickpeas.
- Add the chickpeas and all the other ingredients, except for the olive oil into the bowl of a food processor.
- Whizz until fully combined, while drizzling in the olive oil until the proper smooth consistency is achieved.
- Garnish with cumin and parsley if desired, along with drizzle of olive oil.
