Blueberry Syrup
Ingredients
2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries | ||
1/4 cup water, more if needed | ||
3/4 cup sugar | ||
1/2 tsp lemon juice |
This syrup is wonderful with blueberry pancakes as well as French toast.
- Place berries, 1/4 water, sugar and lemon juice in a sauce pan. Use a little more water if necessary.
- Bring to a boil then lower the heat to medium and boil uncovered until syrupy, about 20 to 30 minutes.
- Stir occasionally to keep the syrup from sticking.
- Cool and store covered in the refrigerator.
