Puerto Rican Tripleta Sandwich

Puerto Rican Tripleta Sandwich

Puerto Rico is a street food wonderland! About a block away for the main piers in San Juan is Plazoleta del Puerto, home to many food carts and stands, especially on the weekends. Here you can find the Tripleta Sandwich. The Tripleta is Puerto Rico’s answer to the Cuban sandwich, but we think it is better because it combines chicken, ham, and beef. It comes on a slightly sweet roll similar to a French Baguette, slathered with ketchup, mustard and mayo then topped with thin crispy fried potato sticks. The three types of meat are grilled, but each meat has its own texture and taste that combines with the condiments to make an incredibly flavorful sandwich. This sandwich is also large enough to feed 2 people. It is important to note that there numerous variations of this sandwich. Some versions use swiss cheese and thinly sliced cabbage other things. If you are ever in Puerto Rico don’t miss out on this flavor sensation. Short of going to Puerto Rico there are also many places in New York City as well as the outer boroughs where you can find this sandwich.

Its like you learn my thoughts! You appear to know a lot about this, like you wrote the guide in it or something. I feel that you could do with a few to power the message home a little bit, but instead of that, that is great blog. A fantastic read. I’ll certainly be back.|
