Homemade Spiced Rum
Ingredients
1 vanilla bean pod, split | ||
4 whole allspice | ||
2 3 inch cinnamon sticks | ||
2 whole star anise | ||
1/2 tsp ground anise | ||
4 whole cloves | ||
1/2 tsp freshly grated nutmeg | ||
1 liter gold rum |
- Pour off 1/2 cup of the rum to make room for the spices.
- Place the vanilla bean, allspice, cinnamon sticks, anise and cloves in the bottle with rum
- Store in a dark closet for at least 1 month. 2 month or more is better.
- Shake gently once a week.
