Asian Marinated Tri-Tip Steak


  • 1 and 1/2 lbs of Tri-tip steak
  • 3/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tbs canola oil
  • kosher salt and fresh cracked black pepper to taste
  • Combine soy sauce, garlic,  ginger, oil, salt and pepper in a zip lock plastic bag.
  • Add the steak, seal and marinate for 2 to 3 hours, turning several times.
  • Cook steak over hot grills for about 45 minutes, turning once until desired doneness is achieved.
