Apple Pancakes

Ingredients

  • 2 medium tart apples
  • 2 cups flour
  • 3 tbs sugar
  • 1 tbs baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 and 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/3 tsp vanilla
  • 3 tbs butter
  • brown sugar
  • maple syrup
  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
  • Peel, core and thinly slice apples.
  • In a mixing bowl combine flour, sugar, baking powder, slat, and cinnamon.
  • Add milk and vanilla and mix until smooth.
  • Melt  butter in a 12 inch oven proof skillet.
  • Arrange apples in the bottom of the pan and pour batter over.
  • Bake until apples are golden, about 15 minutes.
  • Turn by flipping pancake over on a large plate, then sliding it back into the pan.
  • Continue baking until the other side is golden and pancake is cooked through, about 10to 15 minutes.
  • Remove from pan and sprinkle with brown sugar and sere with maple syrup.
