Never Fail Pie Crust
Ingredients
4 cups four, sifted | ||
1 tbs sugar | ||
3 tsp salt | ||
1 egg | ||
1 tbs vinegar | ||
1/2 cup water | ||
1 and 3/4 cups shortening |
This is a great flaky pie crust which is great for pies and quiches as well.
- Sift flour and salt into a large bowl.
- Beat the egg and combine with vinegar and water.
- Cut shortening into flour then sprinkle with the egg mixture and mix together.
- Gather the dough into a ball, then wrap into plastic wrap and chill for about 30 minutes before using.
