Basque Seafood Marinade
Ingredients
1/4 cup olive oil | ||
1/4 cup water | ||
5 garlic cloves, crushed | ||
1 small red onion, sliced | ||
1 tsp white pepper | ||
1 tsp chili powder | ||
1 tsp sage | ||
1 cup white wine | ||
2 tsp lemon juice | ||
1 tsp kosher salt | ||
1 tsp cracked black pepper |
This is a Basque marinade that can be used for beef, chicken or lamb. It is also good for seafood.
Directions:
- Combine all ingredients and mix well.
- Pour over meat and allow to marinate for several hours or up to 8 hours.
- May be used as a basting liquid while cooking meat.
