Baharat Arabic Spice
Ingredients
1 tbs paprika | ||
1 tbs ground black pepper | ||
1 tbs cumin | ||
1/2 tbs clove | ||
1/2 tbs clove | ||
1/2 tbs nutmeg | ||
1 tbs coriander | ||
1 tbs cardamom |
The word Baharat simply means “spice” in Arabic. It’s a common North African spice mix in Lebanon, Syria, Israel and Jordan.
- In a bowl mix all ingredients well.
- Use to season lamb, chicken, pork or beef.
- It also works well with fish, tomato sauces, soups and lentil dishes.
- Recipe may be doubled.
