Spicy Grilled Asparagus

Ingredients
2 lbs asparagus, trimmed | ||
1 tbs extra virgin olive oil | ||
kosher salt and black pepper to taste | ||
1-2 tsp lemon zest | ||
1 tsp Red Pepper Flakes | ||
lemon wedges for garnish | ||
bacon bits optional |
- Preheat grill to medium high heat.
- Remove the tough ends of the asparagus, then toss the spears in olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, lemon zest and red pepper flakes.
- Grill asparagus, turning occasionally, 5-8 minutes or until crisp tender.
- Transfer asparagus to a serving tray.
- Garnish with lemon wedges if desired and bacon bits if desired.
