Asian Chicken Marinade


  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup sherry
  • 1/4 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 tsp powdered ginger
  • 1 tbs onion powder
  • 1tbs garlic powder
This is a very special marinade that burst’s with savory flavor. We like to use it prior to cooking chicken over charcoal.


  • Mix all ingredients in sauce pan.
  • Warm gently to dissolve the sugar.
  • Let mixture cool.
  • Place chicken parts in the marinade and keep refrigerated for 8 hours.
  • Cook chicken over hot coal, turning several times until cooked through.
