Cuban Dulce De Leche


  • 1 gallon of milk
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 3 tbs vinegar
This a homemade version of Dulce De Leche which is commonly used in Cuba and many other countries in Latin America.


  • In a large stockpot add the sugar to the milk and bring to a boil.
  • Add the vinegar and cook until water disappears and only the solids are left and slightly caramelized. About 40 minutes.
