Bananas Foster
Ingredients
2 tbs unsalted butter | ||
3 ripe bananas, quartered | ||
1 tsp ground cinnamon | ||
1 tsp ground cinnamon | ||
2 tbs banana liqueur | ||
2 tbs brandy | ||
4 scoops each vanilla and chocolate ice cream |
- In a medium saute pan, melt the butter and saute the bananas until they’re soft. Do not overcook as they will become mushy.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon and brown sugar over the bananas and turn to coat with the sugar mixture.
- Add the liqueur and brandy, let it flame to burn the alcohol off.
- Take the ice cream scoops from the freezer and place a scoop of each flavor in 4 dishes, top with bananas and some of the sauce and serve right away.
