Herb Basting Butter
This is a wonderful compound butter that is wonderful when basted over chicken, beef, pork or seafood.
- 1/4 lb unsalted butter
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tbs finely minced chopped fresh herbs of choice.(basil, tarragon, thyme and or chives.)
- Cream butter until fluffy.
- Blend 1 tsp lemon juice and the herbs.
- Let stand for 1 hour before using.
- Baste over meats of seafood with a pastry brush.
- Recipe may be multiplied if desired.
