Coca-Cola Chicken Wings
Ingredients
2 lbs chicken wings, halved, wing tips removed | ||
2 tbs canola oil | ||
2 tbs soy sauce | ||
2 tbs dry sherry | ||
2 tbs dry sherry | ||
4 scallions, sliced on a bias | ||
Black pepper to taste |
These wings are sticky and delicious.
- Preheat oven to 375.
- Mix soy sauce, sherry and coca cola and set aside.
- Heat oil in a wok or large frying pan, using high heat.
- Add wings in batches and sear on all sides until lightly browned. About 3 minutes on each side.
- Add all of the chicken wings to the pan, then pour the sauce over and stir to coat the wings well.
- Cook for about 5 minutes or until the sauce thickens.
- Remove the wings from the pan and place them on baking sheets and roast for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through.
- Garnish with the sliced scallions.
- Alternatively you may cook the wings over charcoal, turning them frequently to prevent burning.
