Homemade Apple Sauce

Ingredients
10 tart apples, peeled, cored and chopped | ||
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed | ||
1/2 cup apple cider | ||
1/4 tsp nutmeg | ||
1/4 tsp kosher salt | ||
2 tsp cinnamon |
- Combine all ingredients and cook over medium heat for 40 to 50 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Let the mixture cool, then add to a food processor and puree until smooth.
