Homemade Apple Sauce
|10 tart apples, peeled, cored and chopped|
|3/4 cup brown sugar, packed|
|1/2 cup apple cider|
|1/4 tsp nutmeg|
|1/4 tsp kosher salt|
|2 tsp cinnamon|
- Combine all ingredients and cook over medium heat for 40 to 50 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Let the mixture cool, then add to a food processor and puree until smooth.
